Chicken feet is a delicacy in Singapore, especially to the Cantonese community. It is typically on the Hong Kong Chinese dim sum menu and served in a dim sum basket – $3-$6 for about 3 to 5 chicken feet. The ‘meat’ is soft and tender, and comes off the bones easily when placed in your mouth. Buying FEET for consumption might sound gross and strange, but chicken feet is especially high in collagen, which is a key to looking younger. The dim sum style of preparing chicken feet is tedious, involving frying, braising and steaming to infuse all the flavours of the sauce (bean paste, sugar, soy sauce etc.). Gotta try this!
*Tip: Chicken Feet can be found at most Chinese dim sum restaurants in Singapore.
