Singlish word: Blur

‘Blur’ is not only used to describe objects that are faded or unclear, it can also be used to describe people, when they appear lost or don’t seem to know what’s happening. 😀

Blur (in singlish): To describe someone who is confused or lost.

1. It’s Sunday morning but Johnson thinks it was a weekday and that he has to go to work.

2. Johnson reads the text message on Cynthia’s phone and reads $1,200 instead of $12.00.

3. Cynthia kept reminding Johnson to get chwee kueh for her, but he buys kueh instead.

And by the way, this is how a chwee kueh looks like:

Chwee kueh - steamed rice cakes topped with preserved turnip
